Meiyu Zhong

Meiyu Zhong started the PhD program in ECE at the University of Arizona in 2021. She obtained her B.S. degree from Shanghai University in 2019 and M.S. degree from University of Southern California in 2021. Her research interests include Trustworthy Machine Learning with a special forcus on Robustness and Fairness in Machine Learning. She has interned at Micron Technology in 2024.

Fengwei Tian

Fengwei Tian started the PhD program in ECE at the University of Arizona in 2022. He obtained his B.S. degree from University of Calgary in 2020 and M.S. degree from University of Pennsylvania in 2022. His research interests include trustworthy machine learning, with a focus on data privacy and privacy preserving learning and inference.

Payel Bhattacharjee

Payel Bhattacharjee started the PhD program in ECE at the University of Arizona in 2022. She obtained her B.Tech degree in Electrotics and Teleommunication Engineering from KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, India in 2021. She worked as an Associate Software Engineer at Bosch Global Software Technologies from 2021 to 2022. Her current research focuses on Trustworthy Machine Learning, Differential Privacy, Causal Inference and Causal Graph Discovery.

Vimal William

Vimal William started the Ph.D. program in ECE at the University of Arizona in 2025 (co-advised with Dr. Jyotikrishna Dass). Vimal earned his B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Anna University, India in 2023. From 2023 to 2025, he worked as a System Software Engineer (Edge AI) at SandLogic Technologies, India, focusing on ML systems and AI accelerators. His research interests lie at the intersection of machine learning, hardware/software co-design, and computer architecture.
